In 2009 the Mix1 Masters Cycling Team decided to do the Adopt A Road program and adopted 61st Street (which becomes 63rd) between Valmot and Jay Road, in north Boulder. It was a great way to give back and support cleaning up the roads we all love to ride on. The signs went up and we needed to do our spring and fall cleanup. The photo is from our spring clean up and included LT, Larry, Matt S, Jim T, Marcel, and Kevin H. A big thanks to Jim T. for taking the lead on this and getting us organised.
Today was the date for our fall clean up and wouldn't you know it, it was also the first major snow storm of the winter. At 9 AM this morning it was 20 degrees out, windy, and blowing snow all over. So we pushed it back a week and hope to be out there cleaning up our stretch of road next weekend.
