Mix1 Masters Cycling Team Welcomes Jeff Ofsanko for 2010

The Mix1 Masters's cycling team is please to welcome Jeff Ofsanko to the team for 2010. Jeff will be racing with the 45 Plus group and is a self described all arounder. The photo to the left was taken at the 2009 Koppenberg and shows Jeff leading the pack up the Koppenberg. Jeff rode to a top 10 at this event and funny enough the rider in second is Pete Ismert, who has already joined us for 2010. Jeff is our 4th new addition for 2010 and with his addition our roster is complete. For more info on the team and to see a complete roster please see: http://boulderveloracing.com/2/node/2

More information on Jeff: Jeff discovered cycling in 1998 when a series of running and climbing injuries forced him to look for more tendon friendly pursuits. After watching a few Tour de France videos that his roommate at the time would occasionally be playing on the TV, Jeff was hooked. He immediately bought a bike and started training with the intent to race and has been racing ever since. Jeff was initially a climbing specialist but 10 years and 15 pounds later he now relies more on experience than strength-to-weight ratio in races. Subsequently, he is now more of an all-a-rounder than a climber. Jeff’s versatility, experience and enthusiasm for team tactics should complement Mix 1’s 45+ squad. His favorite races are rolling road races but he also enjoys crits and hill climbs. He is as willing to help out a teammate as he is seizing the opportunity for an individual result. After racing mostly solo on the BPN squad last year, Jeff is looking forward to being part of a team effort in 2010. Jeff lives in east Boulder with his wife and step-daughter. He works as a Paramedic in Estes Park and is also slowly working towards an undergraduate degree in International Affairs at CU. He hopes to someday follow up his undergraduate degree with graduate studies in either Political Science or Human/Political Geography.
